MITER Brands team members volunteered at the December 2025 Phoenix Children’s Hospital Toy Land holiday initiative, which provided toys to patients and their siblings.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — MITER Foundation, the charitable arm of MITER Brands, a family of leading window and door brands, is celebrating National Volunteer Week, taking place on April 19 - 25, 2026, with expanded volunteer efforts to solidify its continued commitment to community impact.

In honor of National Volunteer Week, the manufacturer is participating, volunteering, and sponsoring several events across its family of brands, including an Adopt-A-Highway Roadside Cleanup in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; a Gold Star Monument dedication ceremony, also in Harrisburg; the Clays For a Cause Clay Shoot in Hegins, Pennsylvania; and the Education Foundation of Sarasota County’s Ringling Bridge 5K/10K Run in Sarasota, Florida.

Earlier this week, Amanda Klinger, MITER Foundation Program Manager, appeared on the National Glass Association’s Window Cast podcast, where she spoke with Associate Editor Rachel Vitello on the work MITER Foundation is doing and the importance of volunteers to those efforts.

“Volunteerism isn’t just an initiative to us, it’s foundational to who we are,” said Klinger. “For our team, volunteering creates a direct, human connection to the communities we serve, and it also empowers our team members to feel personally invested in making a difference. That’s why this past year, we were proud to expand our companywide allocated program of 40 volunteer hours per team member, per year to all MITER Brands locations nationwide.”

MITER Foundation was founded in 2015 by 10 team members in Pennsylvania to raise and donate funds to four noteworthy causes: community outreach, heroes support, children’s well-being, and cancer support.

Since its inception, the foundation has grown to 16 committees nationwide, consisting of hundreds of team members across the country. It has expanded from supporting causes primarily in Pennsylvania to 42 states, with team members donating nearly 40,000 hours of volunteer time.

In 2025, MITER Foundation broke records for funds raised at both of its annual charity golf tournaments in Pennsylvania and Arizona, generating more than $5.4 million. The events, which serve as the foundation’s primary fundraising activities, attracted more than 900 participants and featured golf, clay shooting, a UTV adventure, banquets, and auctions.

The MITER Foundation executive committee seeks national, mission-aligned partnerships that include the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, American Humane, No Person Left Behind, Homes For Our Troops, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Simon’s Heart, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and The Woody Williams Foundation, among others. In addition, MITER Foundation’s regional outreach committees connect with local charitable organizations and events to make an impact in communities near MITER Brands locations, where team members work and live.

“Since day one, MITER Foundation has been about one thing: creating windows of opportunity that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives,” said Matt DeSoto, board chair of MITER Foundation. “In 2025, we stayed focused on our four core pillars and saw firsthand how powerful this mission can be when backed by passionate, generous people. There’s still so much more good to be done, and we’re looking forward to making an even greater impact.”
