HARRISBURG, Pa. — MITER Brands recently took a unique approach to its philanthropic efforts through MITER Foundation, offering a companywide fitness challenge that raised $100,800 for the foundation’s causes.
During the month of March, team members and their families were encouraged to participate in a Push-Up Challenge, an annual event that began in 2025, in which individuals can complete 5,000 or 10,000 push-ups, and MITER Brands will donate in their honor to MITER Foundation.
New to this year’s challenge, MITER Brands gave participants the option to complete half of their push-up totals as sit-ups and introduced challenge missions that split exercises evenly between push-ups and sit-ups.
The challenge ran from March 1 to March 31, resulting in 662,500 push-ups completed and 177,500 sit-ups completed. To determine the $100,800 donation amount, MITER Brands used the following formula:
- For missions totaling 10,000 reps completed, a donation of $1,200 will be made.
- For missions totaling 5,000 reps completed, a donation of $600 will be made.
Additionally, those who didn’t wish to participate in the challenge but still wanted to make an impact could make a monetary donation to the foundation during the month of March and have it matched 100%, up to $1,200, by MITER Brands.
“We are incredibly proud of our team members and their families for stepping up to the challenge during the month of March and completing a grand total of 840,000 reps,” said Anthony Kassab, Executive Committee Chair, MITER Foundation. “Initiatives like this not only promote a healthy, active culture across our organization, but also reinforce our commitment to giving back, as every exercise completed helps us make a lasting impact in the communities we serve. A special thank you to everyone who participated, encouraged their teammates, and made this year’s event such a huge success.”
The $100,800 donation will go toward MITER Foundation’s philanthropic efforts, including numerous local and national charities and causes.
